Mead or honey wine is the oldest alcoholic drinks known to man. It is made from honey and water via fermentation with yeast. It may be still, carbonated, or sparkling; it may be dry, semi-sweet, or sweet.
I found 2 old recipes that my hubby has made over the years and they always turn out great. We have to brew 2 batches because our neighbours ALWAYS drink our mead when we have them over for BBQ’s. The mead recipe with maple syrup is to die for!
